Twenty-five businesses will be accepted into the competition based on the judging of applications. There is a $50.00 non-refundable application fee ($35.00 for Early Bird Registrations) due
at the time of submission. Late applications will not be accepted. NOTE: No prior business plan needed to apply or compete.




Eligible Applicants:
  • Be a business with a DBA registered in Tarrant County
  • Annual revenue of no more than $500,000

Prior BAC clients, regardless of geographic location, that meet all other eligibility criteria may also apply.

Ineligible applicants:
  • Past Winners
  • City of Fort Worth employees

If chosen as a participant in the competition, you
will be asked to verify eligibility.




Preliminary Round
(25 compete)
  • Four group training sessions
  • Networking with participants
  • Feedback from judges
  • Counseling with FWBPC partners
Pitch Night
(Top 10 Compete)
  • Top ten competitors present business plan
  • Receive feedback from judges
  • Network with sponsors and community members
Final Round
(3 compete)
  • Mentor and MBA Coach assigned to each finalist
  • Prizes awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place
  • Feedback from judges
  • Finalist presentations at awards event
